Introduction of Sysmex Cube 6 V2M Flow Cytometry System for Microbial Testing

presented by PT Elo Karsa Utama

This session will guide participants through the principles and applications of flow cytometry, a powerful tool for analyzing individual cells within complex mixtures. Learn to identify and measure bacterial contamination in samples and get the bacteria quantification result within minutes instead of days. Our technical expertise from Sysmex – Partec Germany will share his experience with the instrument. Using the immense resolution of a flow cytometer, all present bacteria (LNA, low nucleic acid and HNA, high nucleic acid bacteria) can be detected. LNA / HNA cell numbers differ across water sources therefore, represent a “fingerprint” for a sample.

The use of Realtime PCR for the detection of Mycoplasma Pneumonia

presented by PT Ecosains Hayati

Real-time PCR is a highly sensitive and specific method for detecting Mycoplasma pneumoniae, a common cause of respiratory infections. This technique allows for the direct determination of M. pneumoniae DNA in clinical specimens, providing efficient detection throughout all stages of infection. It offers significant advantages over traditional serological assays, which can yield false negatives in the early weeks post-infection. Real-time PCR’s rapid processing and precise quantification capabilities make it an invaluable tool for diagnosing community-acquired pneumonia caused by M. pneumoniae.

NanoDrop One Acclaro Sample Intelligence Technology for Accurate Nucleic Acid Sample Evaluation

presented by PT ITS Science Indonesia

The integration of NanoDrop instruments with Realtime PCR workshops provides a seamless experience for precise nucleic acid quantification. NanoDrop spectrophotometers are essential for normalizing RNA content in cDNA reactions, ensuring consistent and reliable data for gene expression studies. This combination allows for accurate measurement of RNA, which is crucial for the subsequent Realtime PCR analysis, particularly in detecting pathogens like Mycoplasma pneumoniae. By using NanoDrop technology, participants will gain hands-on experience in enhancing the quality of their Realtime PCR outputs, leading to more accurate and reproducible results.
